Now I am back in Paris, but I had a wonderful time at the Dune of Pilat in south-west of France. The Dune of Pilat is a beautiful spot. Its the tallest sand dune in Europe, and its actually a “foredune”, meaning that the dune runs parallel to a shoreline.
I also did do my first camping which was a real adventure!
But to be honest, I had luck, it was warm and sunny. And the “Camping Panorama du Pyla” is just awesome. You can choose your site on the hill next to the dune and overlooking the sea -wonderful.
There are lots of families, but even more Paragliders. Due to its exposed location along the sea and steep angle, the Dune of Pilat is a famous paragliding spot with great soaring conditions.
That was an interesting point for me, of course! Maybe I could finally fly…in a different matter. So, I observed them the first two days and on the third day I was sure: I wanted to try it as well.
But then…
…there was no wind anymore!
What a shame!!!!
So, my first flight is still postponed…who wants to take me on board?
But at least, I got some quality time….
