After another stopover back in N’Djamena, we fly over the desert of Chad. What a landscape!
Then we arrive in Faya, a real little village in Nowhere. Only a few houses, other than that there is sand, sand and sand. The real desert feeling!
Unfortunately we can’t stay long. Its just a mission to hand out food supplies for the few persons living here. Then we are off again.
Hey, wait!
What’s that????
Is it really?
“What is it, Willow?” calls Anaïs while she is going back to the plane. “Ah, its your first turtle, is it?”
Of course, it is. Apart from blOOturtle, I don’t nothing of them. Never saw one. And this one is big, REALLY big. Like four times my size. I would love to go for a (pretty slow) trip, but then I hear hoofbeat nearby. I turn myself and stand in front of a few gazelles.
Yes, this is desert life 🙂
